 When I met Karen and her staff, I said my search is over.  This is going to be my new home.  Karen has made me feel secure in her hands.  I have had many weaves before, but the effort and precision that was put into my hair was simply beautiful.  I would recommend any one interested in hearing the truth and then fighting the problem to visit Lady Leo's Beauty Salon.

I discovered Karen on Craigslist while searching for a beautician who could do a natural looking weave. Karen has done my hair twice thus far. I first went to her 2 weeks ago to get a full head sewn in weave. When I arrived at her shop the first thing I appreciated was the fact she remembered and pronounced my name correctly (little things mean a lot to me). She greeted me as if we met before and that was refreshing. Her shop was immaculate and everyone there was in good spirits and the energy felt positive. She told me that for first time customers you get a free treatment with your weave. I was in for a pleasant surprise; prior to washing my hair she went through my head like the hair police and told me all of the good bad and ugly that was going on with my hair. She was brutally honest and even told me I had a bald spot in the middle of my head in which I hadn’t even noticed! That revelation really through me for a loop because I get my hair done frequently and never noticed and nobody ever pointed it out to me! She asked me about my hair care regimen and asked me about prior relaxers I used. After the initial head check she proceeded to wash my hair and applied a treatment. She told me to not be discouraged with the state of my hair and said that there is still hope if I continued with the proper hair treatments. She explained everything she put in my hair and the reasons why. I also liked the fact that she didn’t braid my hair tight since my hair was already in a weak state and didn’t need the added tension. I was happy with my hairstyle when she was finished and more excited to begin the treatments with my natural hair so I can stop wearing weaves so often. The next day Karen called me to follow-up on my hair and wanted feedback. I informed her that although I was satisfied with the style I wanted to add additional layers. Two weeks later I went back to her for a wash n’ set and I informed her that my hair was itching. She gave me another treatment and before I knew it my scalp was feeling refreshed and she added extra layers and gave me the Chinese bang I wanted to add to the style. She takes the time to listen to the customer and then adds her expertise and with that combination you cannot go wrong. I will see her in about another 4 weeks for a new weave. My mom will also be accompanying me the 3^{rd time around to get her hair done and to also get the full Lady Leo hair care experience. Finally, someone who has brought me back to my roots, literally!}

Karen has been doing my hair for 10 years now and that is one of the best decisions I have ever made.  She not only keeps my hair looking fierce in the latest styles, but she really promotes hair care.  When I first came to Karen my hair was in a bad state.  My mom was ready to shave all of my hair off because she didn’t think it could ever come back from the terrible condition it was in.  But, Karen told her that if she gave her chance she would make sure my hair grew back better than ever.  And grow back it did! My hair is healthy and manageable now and that is all thanks to Karen.

Karen, you are the best stylist I have ever been to. I have gone to many salons from Dominican, American to African who didn't even come close to your skills. I'm glad that I found you on the Internet and that I traveled almost an hour from Harlem. Your shop is comfortable and the clients are friendly. Karen you are an artist and I'm soo happy. Well I am Seth and this is my five seconds on Miss Karen. Well before I can tell about the good things I have experienced, one must say how I came to be a client of Lady Leo. I used to have a fair amount of hair, a good nine to ten inches a good bob,  and I wanted a new look; so I cut my hair off. Yet, even though I liked the Mohawks and the short cuts, I did miss my hair .

 So in my birthday, I decided to work up the nerves to get a weave.  Nothing  OD  or dragqeenish but a little sexxy , since now  it is  the style for man to have long hair I was like "Why can't I  as well". But I had not enough hair for a good enough weave. So I decided to try a lace front and needless to say I was unpleased with the lace front, because you pay 300,500,even 900  dollars for these wigs and 1. To a skilled eye a person can spot a lace front and 2. Most lace front just look like lace fronts.

So in time my hair grew enough for a weave and I decided to do research on line on hair dressers. Even through my girls get weaves I wanted a dresser of my own.  Before I stumbled on ladyleobeauty.com , I went to maybe 4 other sites, prices ranging from 60-150 dollars . Yet all these sites was gleamed up and to be honest these weave looked like weaves.

In my last attempt I went to ladyleobeauty.com ,and I was like overly amazed: I know I clicked the weave box, yet these pictures look like these girl really had 18 inches of hair and I was amazed and impressed of a simple picture of regular girl , not models in the ocean or a backdrop .

 I was nerves being a boy going to a salon to get a weave , I will not lie about that, and more or less what will a woman think on doing a guys weave. But one thing that made me love Karen and made me decided that if she moved her shop to Jamaica I will  be getting a passport  was not her weave or her technique I feel in love with a  simple wash.

My hair has been washed 100 times in kitchens and salons but never like this. She took her time to make sure my scalp was clean . I was not even regular in her shop and she was using top line products in my hair. Even though I was crying through the tighten of the tracks when she finish I was amazed. I  had a weave and there was no bumps no tracks - it was so good my mother never liked girls with weaves, yet my mom is always in amazement to see what weave I am going to get from Miss Karen "She always says it looks to real to be true".

And if tough times spending 100+ on hair and 100+ on a weave is risky, yet it is very rare I leave a salon happy - when I leave Lady Leo , I have a bounce in my swag and glow in my face.

I've been going to LadyLeo Hair salon for almost 2 years now.  Within this time frame I've seen my hair transition from having no life to having elasticity, lots of growth as well as body...I was introduce to Karen through a friend and it has truly been a blessing ever since. One Saturday afternoon, I called Lady Leo Beauty
Salon and inquired about getting my hair relaxed that day. She quickly
informed me of a suitable time. When I arrived into her salon, she
immediately greeted me, "Nikki". Then she walked over to quickly assess my hair
and I must emphasize she began with the positive. All too often we
start with negative qualities and that was one important quality that I
received from Karen. When I was in Karen's chair she informed me of what
she noticed and ways WE can maintain and  strengthen my hair. I must
confess when you sit in the chair to have your hair washed, she massages
the scalp then when you go under the water she continues to massage
your scalp as she washes your hair. Her shampoo process is sooooooo
relaxing and therapeutic. I have been to Karen's salon several times but I
will admit from this day forward she is my new stylist. Thank You Karen,
